Wow, what a beautiful, funny, and loving person Luana was. I remember the short skirts and the smile that never left her face.  She could make you laugh at yourself or her every time you saw her. I had such a crush on her but I believe all the boys did. Don't believe I knew anyone that loved people the way she did!  And we all loved her.

I'm so glad I got to say goodbye to you.  I think of you so often and I bet you and Vicki are dancing in heaven.

Luana Marie, What great fun & adventures we had growing up !!  Your Dad's softball team,

going to Camp Karankawa with him & being the ONLY girls there, (We so hated that).

Sneaking out from my bedroom during a sleep over to go wrap Stuart Lee & Timmy

Johnson's houses, diving in the ditch when a police car drove by, and endless hours on

the phone talking about everything under the sun & nothing at all.

I Love You Sweet Friend, & Miss You So Very Much

Luana had great "slumber parties", and no one slept.  She was a friend to every one and a lot of fun.  I was able to keep up with her through the years by my brother inlaw, Conrad, who worked with her.  She was much too young to leave us.  Jane Lester Moody

Luana, what memories of Junior High.  When the Rabourns came to town it was a very different outlook on life with her and her brothers and sister.  I will always remember how fast she talked and almost in a language I did not always understand.  I think the family moved to LJ from Indiana, but not positive...just remember it was one of the first times in my life I was around someone with an "accent" that was not a Texas drawl.  I remember Luana driving that Renault Dauphine down Wisteria street honking her horn as she passed houses of the ones of us that lived on Wisteria.  Had a lot of fun with her in Junior High but did not have any classes with her in High School and only saw her a few times after we graduated.  I will always remember that smile and accent.

RIP Luana......
