Nolan Terrill

TERRILL, NOLAN ALLAN , age 55, beloved husband of Lynn Othelia Appleberry Terrill and much loved father of Lynette Othelia Terrill and Teri Allyn Terrill went home to be with God at 5:32 p.m. on Dec 11, 2002 at Baylor Hospital in Irving, TX after a two year and two month battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends.

He was born on March 18, 1947 in Freeport, TX. He graduated from Brazosport High School, Lamar Tech and The University of North Texas. He and Lynn married March 29, 1969 in Clute, TX. He loved his family, football, music and theater. He lived the creed of the Jaycee organization. He lived in Irving for 29 years. He was Life Member #9 of the Irving Jaycees and its President 1981-82. He was USJCI Senator #38137, President of the Texas JCI Senate. He was a leader in the movement to license Master level psychologists to practice throughout the nation. He was President of Texas Association of Psychological Associates 1993-95. He was President of the NorthAmerican Association of Masters in Psychology 1995-1997. Most of all, he was a loving husband and father and touched many lives.

He is survived by his mother R. Mozelle "Moki" Terrill of Angleton, TX and preceded in death by his father T. W. "Red" Terrill. He is also survived by his sister Teresa Terrill Cooper also of Angleton, his brothers Mark Terrill of Missouri City, TX, J. W. Terrill of Anchorage, AK and Gene Terrill of Clute, TX; his sister Kathleen Pye of DuBach, LA and many nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by his sister Sylvia Leiker of California.

Memorial service 1:00 pm, Saturday, Dec 14, 2002 at Plymouth Park United Methodist Church, Irving. Dr. Ben Shinn officiating. A visitation and reception will be held after the service at the church.

I met Nolan in grade school.  One of the few things that I remember about Nolan was that he collected coins.  He did know his coins and their value.  I think that at one time he and his brother had a connection to a coin collecting business across the street from Lake Theater.  Nolan was kinda quiet from what I remember.  I do not remember seeing him after we graduated.  RIP Nolan.......     Later
