Lovene Goins--Had her for English 4 and Composition and Rhetoric at Brazosport College.  She was always encouraging and challenging.  "Prove It" and "Be specific and detailed" were frequent statements written on my papers.  She loved to teach, was a great teacher.  I have used her admonitions many, many, many times in bible classes and in the classroom teaching Texas History.  And she pounded the importance of vocabulary.  I will never forget her passion for teaching.
