Vivacious, funny, cute as a bug.  She was always making us laugh. Got to see her last year and she was still the sweet, talkative, beautiful person I remembered.  We'll all miss Phyllis!

Had Phyllis in several classes and would exchange answers on tests. Too shy to ask he for a date. My loss.

Phyllis was such a sweet, friendly person and always with a beautiful smile; easy to get to know and be around!

I met Phyllis in High School. I do not remember having her in any classes, but do remember some social get togethers when she was dating Leroy Moore.  I was around Phyllis more at college when we were going to Stephen F. Austin.  A lot of the BHS folks would get together and have spaghetti dinners with each of us bringing something to share.  Many times this was either at her and Leroy's apartment, or Tommy Gray's apartment.  There would be at least 10-12 of us.  Great times together as most of us were without a lot of funds.  RIP Phyllis.  Later Gater

I was really sorry to hear of Phyllis's untimely passing. She was a gorgeous girl even in Junior High School, and I had the biggest crush on her. I worked up the nerve to ask her to a football game in the 7th or 8th grade, and a couple of days later she said "yes" but didn't sound too enthusiastic about it.  I found out at the game (but not from her) that she had said "yes" only at the insistence of her dad, who knew my dad. I was really hurt and I don't think I ever spoke to her again, even though I felt sorry for her for having been put in a difficult situation. I guess that was my introduction to romantic disillusionment. Adolescence can be really cruel.
