Back in the early 70's Woody was a deputy with the Sheriff's department and patrolled Surfside.  We were invited to a Christmas party at Pat's Place.  I saw Mr. Leeka there and reintroduced myself to him.  He looked up at me and said "I bet you thought I'd be dead."  I thanked him for letting me fish frogs out of the formaldehyde for extra credit and he just shook his head and went back to his beer.  Lots of memories of that class!

Mr Leeka was one of my favorite teachers. He liked me because he taught my Dad and Mom too. I was in one of the last classes he taught and by that time he was tired of kids and teaching. I could always talk him into having a study hall instead of class so I could do the homework I didn't do the night before. I have great memories of him and I'm so glad I got to be one of his students.
