Patricia Jeanne Kos

Patricia “Pat” Jeanne Chenault Kos of Pearland, Texas passed away at age 64 in Houston, Texas on Wednesday March 23, 2011. She was a resident of the Friendswood/Pearland area for over 40 years. Pat was born on October 24, 1946 in Freeport, Texas to Mildred Jeanne Oates Chenault and Woodford Sidney Chenault. She graduated from Brazosport High School in 1965. Pat married the love of her life, Dennis David Kos, on August 11, 1973 in Pasadena, Texas.  She was an avid interior decorator, gardener, fashionista, champion bargain hunter and homemaker. Pat was also a fan of movies and the Moody Blues. Pat was devoted to the extensive circle of her family, friends and church at Southeast Church of Christ. She was involved in a Christian women's Bible study, her Bunco group and was always recognized for her efforts in bridal/baby showers and providing food for the bereaved and sick in the church.  In the last two years, she was especially driven to provide comfort and hope for those with cancer and had intended to join the Lifeline Chaplaincy group.

Pat was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Jeanne Chenault, on January 5, 1982 and her beloved father, Sid Chenault, on September 5, 2003.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis David Kos of Pearland, Texas; daughters, Kimberly Olmos and husband Rick of League City, Texas, Tracy Cubbage of Friendswood, Texas and Christine Marks and husband Bert of Pearland, Texas; sister, Barbara Park and husband Richard of Austin, Texas; aunt, Verna (Oates) Gray and husband Billy; grandchildren, Nicholas Wright, Ricky Olmos, Christy Sims, Stephanie Olmos, Danielle Nordstrom, Ryan Olmos, Lauren Olmos, Taylor Cubbage, Joshua Cubbage, Lila Marks; nieces, Stephanie Alba, Chelsea Park Puckett, Darcy Kallhoff; nephew, Drew Kallhoff; and numerous great grandchildren, cousins and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Southeast Church of Christ, 2400 W. Bay Area Blvd, Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Rick Fyffe officiating. A private interment will be conducted Monday, March 28, 2011.

Pallbearers are Rick Olmos, Ryan Olmos, Josh Cubbage, Bert Marks, Arthur Puckett, Nick Wright and Wally Wyatt.
