I remember Bobby more from Elementary thru Junior High School. Played Little League Baseball and Junior High Football with Bobby.  I remember that he was a very fast runner.  Around the 7th grade I nicknamed him Tonto...the side kick of the Lone Ranger because I thought he looked like Tonto....Bobby did not like the nickname so it did not stick.  I still feel that he looks like Tonto.  There were about 7 or 8 of us that kinda ran together in those early years.  I remember that Bobby really did like to fish.  There were times that we would ride our bicycles out to the Lake and fish for hours.  Riding a bicycle carrying your rod and reel and tackle box, plus your lunch was a real challenge.  Bobby also liked to hunt....so him becoming a Game Warden was right up his alley.  Do not remember having classes with Bobby in High School and we were running with other people during our High School years.  I do not remember Bobby at any of our reunions. RIP Bobby.

I got to know Bobby at Sam Houston State.  There were several BHS students (1965 grads) living at Roy Adams dormitory, including Bobby amd I.  RIP my friend.  Kenneth Bennett, Mike Kelly, Calvin Stacks (he dormed across the street) and others would get together and do everything together except study.

I have very fond memories of Bobby.  He was at Sam Houston along with a lot of Brazosport grads.  I spent a lot of time at Sam visiting my future wife - Jane Lester.  I usually stayed in Bobby's room when I wasn't with Jane.  There were a lot of late night card games.  Bobby was easy going and good company.  I can still hear his laugh.  RIP Bobby

I have been wanting to put in a memory comment on Bobby.  When I was growing up at the Lake very often Bobby would come riding around it on his motor scooter and he would stop and we would have some great conversations.  Then when we moved to California in 1967 he and Kenny Williams were stationed down in San Diego at the Naval Air Station.  They would sometimes come up to visit us in Northern California.  The last time I saw him was probably 1971 when he stopped by to see my sister and I at the apartment we were living at in Mountain View, CA.  I felt I real friendship connection with Bobby and thought of him often over the years although I pretty much lost track of him after 1971.  He was a good looking guy back then and all my friends fell in love with him when he came to visit.  I wonder if anyone has heard how Kenny Williams is doing?  He and Bobby were sidekicks back then in the late 60's.
