Comments:

I went to Lamar University (at the time it was known as Lamar Tech) and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Went to work for Dow Chemical (E&CS) on Richmond Ave. in Houston. Worked for several companies over the years and spent many years working overseas. Most recently spent three years in Balikpapan, Indonesia (on Borneo Island) working for Chevron. I'm still working for Mustang Engineering in Houston, looking forward to retiring soon to our recently-built home in southwest Missouri, between Springfield and Branson. Carole and I have no children but share many nieces and nephews. God has richly blessed us.

School Story:

Although I wasn't really aware of it at the time, my life's fondest memories are of my days spent in and around BHS. My best friend in the world was Arnold Walters. He was as at home at my house with my family as I was at his. We had many a fun-filled adventure together. He taught me how to bass fish in Warren's Pond, how to hunt rattlesnakes at Surfside, and many other "useful" activities, but most importantly, he taught me how to laugh at myself. He and I gradually lost contact as we grew up, got jobs, got married and went our own separate ways. Sadly, he passed away during one of my overseas stints, so I didn't even find out until much later. I last saw Arnold during our 30th class reunion. I consider myself privileged to have had such a friend.
