I was so sorry to hear some years ago that Tom had passed away. I remember my mom telling me some time after I'd moved away from LJ, that Tom came by to talk to her and thank her for teaching him how to fish when he was a little boy (Oyster Creek was in our backyard). I was so touched by his thoughtfulness - so was Mom.
Met Tom in grade school in Lake Jackson. I had some classes with him in Junior High and High School. Tom loved to play sports and he was pretty good. I would see Tom at the reunions and we would have a short visit. I had heard later in his life that he had some issues. He is at peace now. RIP Tom. Later Gater
