Leslie was a great friend in grade school.  Mr. Huffman  busted both our butts when in 6th grade.  We were talking too much in class.  I remember going to his house and being greeted by his Black Labrador, "DUKE".

Leslie was just a good person.  What an untimely death he had!

I didn't really get to know Leslie that well until he was my brother's room mate, when we were all students at UT/Austin; actually, his brother, Larry, ended up marrying my step-sister, Avis Morgan, (she wasn't related to me in our high school days), and they had a son named Carl, who is 5 months older than my daughter, Amy.  It's such a small world out there....

I had a crush on him in the 2nd  grade.  I remember having Mom drive me by his house.

Remember so many things about Les.  The times we went to Angleton dances, the times we had a couple of beers during our senior year at BHS, the senior trip to Old Ocean country club....look at the photo in the annual where Les looks like "Big Kahuna" and look in his left hand....a cigarette....that was so rebellious in those days.  Les was such a great athlete.  I remember like it was yesterday finding out about his vehicle accident.  I was in summer school at Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches and it hit me very hard.  He was one of the first in our class to pass away.....such a sad loss.  RIP Les.....you have been missed.

I dated Leslie some in high school.  I remember how sweet he was.

I'm watching a 2018 mens final USHA handball championship on YouTube and remembering Les and I playing when we were freshmen at UT Austin. He was better than I was! Miss you Les...

I always considered Leslie a friend. He was one of the nicest guys I ever knew.  I enjoyed reading all your comments and memories of him.  Like Billy Marshall, hearing of his accident and death hit me very hard. I think about him.  Yes, he will will always be missed and never forgotten.
